Meet Lexie (she/her)
Registered Clinical Counsellor Vancouver
With over a decade in mental health, social services, and hospitality, I offer a real-world perspective in clinical counselling. My experience spans breweries, restaurants, remote lodges, and tree planting camps, revealing workplace stressors like long hours, seasonal demands, exhaustion, and the challenges of high-pressure isolated work environments.
This lived experience informs my approach. I provide practical, compassionate support to clients in Vancouver and across Canada, as an accredited counsellor. My work has included children and families navigating complex medical and mental health needs, new immigrants adjusting to life in Canada, and LGBTQQ2S+ folx.
Counselling Background
Over the years, my work has included supporting others with grief and loss counselling at a hospice, offering crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and developing mental health programs tailored to the hospitality and tourism sector. Currently as a registered counsellor, I facilitate support circles for those impacted by trauma and loss in the outdoors through the non-profit Mountain Muskox, and provide clinical oversight for Mountain Community Critical Incident Stress Management, where I support peer-led crisis response in mountain communities.

Why Montira Mental Health?
This counselling practice grew out of my own experience managing remote lodges across BC, where I saw firsthand how isolation, seasonal pressures, and limited access to support contributed to burnout and stress among staff. Years of living, working, and adventuring in the Rockies, Selkirks, Purcells, and Coast Mountains shaped my connection to the outdoor community—and deepened my understanding of the unique mental health needs that come with working in hospitality and adventure tourism.
Today, I work to fill the gaps I once witnessed by providing specialized mental health support for those employed within hospitality, adventure tourism, and unique work environments through my mental health support services for employers. I also remain involved with organizations providing specialized crisis support for individuals in high-risk or unconventional outdoor environments.
